Today we have some very exciting news to share. I’m joined by Ed Sharkey of Sharkey’s Air to announce that Sharkey’s Air and Symbiont Service Corp. are joining forces! Ed and Maryanne Sharkey are retiring and decided to merge with our company.
Many companies approached Ed about a merger, but he joined us instead. It was never about the money—he wanted to merge with the company that was going to treat his employees and customers right. “Sandy gave me the best opportunity and the best options. That’s why I went with you, and I do not regret it,” said Ed.
Ed began his career in the 1980s and actually worked with Sandy’s parents. They gave him his start, and it has come full circle now. The agreement was finalized on March 22, and now we’re ready for this whole new chapter of Symbiont Service Corp. All nine of Sharkey’s employees now work for us, and we’re thrilled to have them and all of the existing Sharkey’s customers join us.

We’re honoring all existing planned maintenance agreements that Ed has with his customers. If you were a Sharkey’s customer, just know that we’re continuing to honor manufacturers’ warranties, just like if you had Sharkey’s Air. We’re going to take care of you just like Ed would.
Ed would like to thank everyone for all their support of Sharkey’s Air over the years. Although he loved the job, he’s excited to retire, and he feels great about leaving his customers in our hands.
